SO close, but so far

I recieved my much awaited SUU Department of Nursing envelope this week in the mail. It was a big, brown envelope, so I knew right away that it would be good news. Out of 100 + applicants, I was placed in the top 35. The program only accepts 20 students a semester as well as 15 alternates, and I am one of those 15 alternates. I was a little frustrated, to say the least. I have worked so hard these last couple of years, and dang it, I will make an awesome nurse! But, because it is so competitive, and my GPA is a little low (since when is a B average a little low? Do they not take into account that I have 3 kids, a husband, a job and an addiction to facebook? ) I will be accepted if another applicant does not want their spot. I don't know where on that list of alternates I fall, but I am hopeful that I will be starting the official nursing program in the fall. If not, there is always Spring semester. So, send me some good karma, please.
